Recipe for making pastry and boiled egg on a plate:
Ingredients:
1 sheet of puff pastry
4 eggs
Salt and pepper to taste
Butter or oil for frying
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F.
Roll out the pastry sheet on a floured surface and cut it into four equal squares.
Place the squares on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Using a fork, prick the pastry several times to prevent it from puffing up too much during baking.
Bake the pastry squares in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
While the pastry is baking, boil the eggs in a pot of water for 7-8 minutes until they are fully cooked.
Remove the eggs from the pot and run them under cold water to cool them down.
Once the eggs are cool, carefully peel them and slice them in half.
Melt a knob of butter or heat a small amount of oil in a frying pan.
Fry the egg halves in the pan, seasoning them with salt and pepper to taste.
When the pastry squares are done, place them on a plate and arrange the egg halves on top of them.
Serve hot and enjoy!
