Recipe for fried dumplings, sliced tomato, and cucumber on a white ceramic plate:
Ingredients:
1 package of dumpling wrappers
1/2 pound ground pork
1/4 cup minced scallions
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tomatoes, sliced
1 cucumber, sliced
Salt, to taste.
Instructions:
In a large bowl, mix together ground pork, scallions, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, cornstarch, ginger, garlic powder, and black pepper until well combined.
Take a dumpling wrapper and place a small spoonful of the pork mixture in the center. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water and fold in half, crimping the edges to seal. Repeat until all the pork mixture is used up.
Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the dumplings in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown. Flip the dumplings over and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the other side is golden brown and the filling is cooked through.
Arrange the fried dumplings on a white ceramic plate. Add sliced tomatoes and cucumbers to the plate. Season with salt to taste.
Benefits:
Dumplings can be a good source of protein, especially if made with lean meat like ground pork.
Tomatoes are high in vitamin C and other antioxidants, which can help boost the immune system and prevent cellular damage.
Cucumbers are low in calories and high in water content, making them a refreshing and hydrating addition to any meal. They are also a good source of vitamin K, which is important for bone health.
