Recipe for making overhead shot of chocolate donuts recipe:
Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 large egg
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Non-stick cooking spray
Chocolate glaze (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
Spray a donut pan with non-stick cooking spray.
Using a spoon, fill each donut mold 3/4 of the way full with the batter.
Bake the donuts for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Remove the donuts from the oven and let them cool in the pan for 5 minutes.
Carefully remove the donuts from the pan and place them on a wire rack to cool completely.
If desired, you can make a chocolate glaze by melting 1/2 cup of chocolate chips with 1 tablespoon of butter in the microwave or on the stove. Dip the tops of the donuts into the glaze and let them set on the wire rack for a few minutes.
Once the glaze is set, arrange the chocolate donuts on a clean surface or a clean white plate.
Take an overhead shot of the donuts using your camera or smartphone. You can use a tripod or a stable surface to hold your camera steady.
Edit and enhance your photo as desired using photo editing software or apps.
Enjoy your delicious chocolate donuts and your beautiful overhead shot!
